Funny man Paul Giamatti has just signed on an upcoming romantic comedy entitled "Paper Man" for FilmColony.

Directed by screenwriters Michele and Kieran Mulroney, the movie will follow the struggle of a down-on-his-luck writer who must cope with divorce, lack of inspiration for his new novel, and an imaginary superhero friend that stuck to him since childhood. A chance reunion with his high-school sweet heart might just help him back on his feet.

The producers intend to ink a distribution deal by the end of the month, in order to secure an already busy Giamatti to begin filming in April.

The actor is already at work on Fox's "Robots", and will also provide voicing for Warner's upcoming "Ant Bully", about a kid shrunk down to the size of the ants he used to torture.
