Anne Heche, who is perhaps more famous for her tabloid-grabbing romance with Ellen DeGeneres than her acting will play a love interest for series star Treat Williams. The Tony-nominated actress will play Amanda Carver, a woman whose husband has aphasia which has left him unable to speak. When Dr. Brown (Williams) offers to teach her new methods of communication, romance develops. This will be Heche’s first return to series TV since her guest-starring appearances on “Ally McBeal.” Heche's personal life has received media attention since her romance and break-up with Ellen. Heche also wrote a book 'Call Me Crazy' detailing her experiences with childhood sexual abuse and personality disorders.
Scott Wolf, who starred on “Party of Five” will also be joining the cast. 'Everwood,' enters its second season on the WB Network this fall and tells the story of a doctor who moves to the small town of Everwood, Colorado to raise his children after the death of his wife.
