Two small plans collided while flying off the coast of Malibu, California, killing at least three people.
The planes carrying a pilot and a single passenger, collided off El Matador State Beach. Authorities were unsure if there was a fourth fatality.
Donn Walker, a spokesman with the Federal Aviation Administration, said that 'it is inconceivable to think there are survivors.'
One of the planes was a Thorp T-18 and the other a Citabria 7ECA. Both very small single engines prop planes.
Rescue crews found the bodies of two people inside the Thorp T-18 and one body from the Citabria washed ashore. Authorities are still searching for another body that could be missing.
