Big Brother 1's George Boswell, friend of this website and guest in our chatroom, has exciting news! Now he has gone from blasting off like a spaceship from a restroom to all-expenses-paid coast hopping trips.
First, during an article about "what ever happened to reality show contestants" written this past spring, Entertainment Weekly featured George. The story began by telling George's entree into the theatre at Chicago's Improvisation and ended with his desires to explore his talent in the future. For that story, EW flew The Chicken Man to New York City, wined and dined him at the best restaurants (sort of), and had a photosession with a famous photographer. The result: a full page picture of our buddy! George looked great.
We won't give it away, but look for a lot more of George on TV in the future. First, he might be a contestant on another show. That program might have flown him to the West Coast recently. Then, he possibly will star in a series. And, you might see his improv performances taped for airing. That is in addition to his former appearance on Sally Jessy Raphael, his speaking engagement at New York's Seminar Center, and his front page feature story in the Los Angeles Daily News.
We want to dispell another rumor right now. As far as we know, George will not be a contestant on Fox and Rupert Murdoch's "American Candidate." Chicken George, maybe; President George, well not Boswell. http://www.suntimes.com/output/eb-feature/cst-edt-ebert23.html
We are intrigued by "American Candidate" in general. From what we know, it will be a lot like Fox's other show, "American Idol," but instead of singing, these people will give speeches about the economy and foreign policy. Typically, like Big Brother and Real World, it will be a bunch of people who have no talent talking to us about things that bother us during primetime when we want entertainment.
Now that I think about it, when it comes to declaring war on Sadaam Hussein, from whom would you prefer to hear it--George Bush or George Boswell? That's easy. It would be more fun to hear it from Boswell. And maybe he can pronounce "nuclear" correctly.
So, here at ElitesTV.com, we are looking forward to more of our buddy George. And if you want to try out for "American Candidate," more power to you, Mr. Boswell!
