Our suspect list is narrowed down to 7...or is it? It seems that the few real contenders for the title of Mole 2 are the ones still left in the game. They are the same seven people we suspected in week 1. Is it editing or good playing? Let’s review, shall we?
Darwin
Pros:
1. Challenges a) The Repelling Game-didn’t answer his questions correctly. Helped lose the game. b) Lotto Clothes-took off his bunny ears. Lost money. c) The Blueberry Game-broke the rules. Lost money. d) Think or Swim-unable to tread water until game complete. Game lost.
2. Suspicious behavior a) Every player he has become close to has been executed. b) He shaved his facial hair. c) Has never been offered an exemption.
Cons
1. Challenges a) Little John/Little Jane-won his fight. Won money for the pot. b) Think or Swim-came up with the plan to load weights on people one at a time. c) Biathlon-was one of the leaders. Fairly chose people to play and correctly made the call for the $0 challenge. Won money for pot. d) The Morality Game-helped change the tires. Won money for pot. e) Bike Challenge-did his part. Won money. f) Gladiator-did his part. Won money.
2. Behavior a) Seems to be trying hard and doesn’t act like he really has a clue. b) Get along well with all other players. Seems to be trusted.
Summary: I don’t think Darwin is the Mole. I do think Darwin is a contender for winning the whole shebang.
Bribs
Pros:
1. Challenges a) Lotto Clothes-thought it would be a good time for a beer. Didn’t lose money but sure irritated a bunch of folks. Wore a pink teddy. This was wrong on many levels. b) Think or Swim-wasn’t able to hold out just a tad longer for the puzzle to be solved. Game lost. c) Gladiator-gave up chance for exemption when down to just 8 players. d) Burn Bags Burn-seems his was the only name visible during this challenge. Take it for what its worth.
2. Behavior a) Brought a can of mole killer. b) Seems to fade into the background…a lot. c) Made a coalition with Darwin...have we heard anymore about this?
Cons:
1. Challenges a) Biathlon-did his part quickly and well. Won money. b) Think or Swim-stayed in the water the longest with the most weight. c) Repelling-answered his question correctly d) Lotto clothes-wore women’s lingerie in public. Seemed to enjoy it. Won money. e) Little John/Little Jane-won his challenge. Won money. f) Gladiator-turned down exemption for money for pot. Won game. g) Bike Ride: Did his part. Won money.
Summary: If Bribs is the mole, he doesn’t seem to understand the concept very well. He has been under the radar and has helped put more money in the pot than any other player except maybe Al. Way down on my suspicion list.
Bill
Pros:
1. Challenges a) Smart/Dumb People: Got 2 questions wrong. Won game. b) Think or Swim: One weight, 8 minutes. Please. Lost game. c) Gnome Game: Broke the little gnomes head. Lost game. d) Lotto clothes: Refused to wear silly outfit. No extra money.
2. Behavior a) The whole telegram thing...red herring or not? b) Volunteered loudly to go second in Gnome race. c) Voted by 2 people as least favorite player. d) Placed big ass gnome in little ass basket and then acted surprised it fell out. e) Forgot to take picture with soccer goalie. f) Told the world he met his wife because of her ass. (Ok, not suspicious, but not something you say on TV.)
Cons:
1. Challenges a) Biathlon: Was a leader and helped choose people. Won money. b) Smart/Dumb People: Was a smart person. Won money. c) Morality Game: Helped change tires. Won money. d) Little John/Little Jane: Won challenge. Won money. e) Homemade Pizza: Pulled the cart. Won money.
2. Behavior a) Honorable man. Wouldn’t ask Al for exemption he didn’t earn. b) Ummm, can’t think of much else to say for ole Bill here.
Summary: Bill is low on my Mole list. I think he is just a screw-up. Seems like a nice guy initially and then he spouts off some male chauvinistic crap. I see Bill leaving in the near future.
Al
Pros:
1. Challenges a) Rope Walk-heart rate too high. This is lame though, I don’t think he could control it that much. b) Repelling Game-screwed up the questions. Lost money. c) Gladiator: Died before the opponent drew his sword.
2. Behavior a) Wants to be in every single challenge. Gets pissy if he isn’t. b) Threw a major fit over not getting to be the talker in Think or Swim. c) Made a comment about “keeping his game face on” during the Gladiator walk. This isn’t suspicious, but he just sounded so damn goofy I had to mention it. Ummm Al? You aren’t really a gladiator.
Cons:
1. Challenges a) Jail time: Worked hard on the plan to get them out of the cells. b) Lotto clothes: Wore a horrid outfit in public. Won money. Blinded the viewers. c) Bike ride: Did his part. Won money. d) Morality Game: Helped the women. Won money.
2. Behavior a) Trusted by other players. Either really trusted or a great mole. b) Very fair on choosing people for exemption/challenges. c) Follows rules—hasn’t been fined for anything yet. d) Seemed to come by his exemption by accident. e) Seems to really try for the good of the team.
Summary: Al is also low on my mole list. He just seems to try too hard. If he is the mole, he is a great actor. I just don’t buy it.
Heather
Pros:
1. Challenges a) Little John/Little Jane: Fell off when Jane said boo. No money. b) Rappelling: Answered her question wrong. No money.
2. Behavior a) Coalition with Katie on first freakin’ day. b) Whined about not being in High Roller game. c) Gave up exemption for other team members after spending days whining that she hadn’t gotten an exemption. d) Suggested to Bill that he put the big ass gnome in the little ass basket. e) Touched the bike in the Bike Race earning a penalty. f) Later states that she strongly suspected an exemption was in the gnome, yet didn’t go for it. g) Has been very under the radar challenge wise. Never volunteers for anything. h) Is young, pretty and perky. I hate her.
Cons:
1. Challenges a) Rope Walk: Did well. Won money. b) Lotto Clothes: Did well. Won money. c) Jail Break: First out. Let others go to be nice. d) Gnome Race: Did her leg well. e) Bike Race: Did her part. Won money. f) Morality Challenge: Didn’t do much, but didn’t stop the boys. Won money.
2. Behavior a) Is very under the radar. Never volunteers for anything. Do you love the way I zero in on these clear cut clues? b) I don’t have much to say for Heather here. I keep forgetting she is there.
Summary: Heather has had a few suspicious moments, but I do not think she is the Mole. If she is, I will be very disappointed as she hasn’t really done much one way or the other.
Dorothy
Pros:
1. Challenges a) Lotto clothes: Wouldn’t wear the diaper. No extra money. b) Bike ride: wtf was that all about? Geez. Team won anyway. c) Burn Bags Burn: Had not a clue about anything. Lost money. d) Blueberry Game: Deceived team members. Won an exemption. Was the cause of fines being levied. e) Think or Swim: Good gracious she was pitiful wasn’t she? Did she ever find the steps? This is a mystery.
2. Behavior a) She is physically worthless. Do people really throw up after running a block? I mean really? She weighs 40 pounds; surely she could jog up the street without puking. b) Answered questions at last minute in Smart/Dumb: Ok, people are finding this suspicious so I am including it. I didn’t find it suspicious at all. I don’t see what advantage the Mole would have in helping add money to the pot. This one was too easy to lose. c) Seen eating apple in opening credits. This also has some followers. Anderson has been seen eating in a few episodes. Why did they use the picture of Dorothy with an apple in front of her face as her intro? d) Her coalition partners don’t seem to last long.
Cons:
1. Challenges a) Swing for Life: She jumped, it didn’t matter. No money b) Smart/Dumb: She did well. Earned exemption and money. c) Morality: Right, like she could change a tire. Would love to see that one. She didn’t stop anyone from doing it though. Won money. d) Gladiator: Wasn’t required to do anything but sit. She did exceptionally well in this role. Won money.
2. Behavior a) Comes across as very innocent. I think it’s all a lie. b) Challenged potential boyfriend to rousing game of Scrabble. This should go under the category of “Ewww”, but I don’t have that category. c) Has a tendency to fade into the woodwork. Strategy or just bland?
Summary: Dorothy is a contender. Either as the Mole or as the winner. Her comment post Elavia walking, “You should have stayed. We could have picked them off one by one. Arrrggghhh.” Sounds more like a player talking than the mole, the mole can just find another patsy. However, I don’t discount Dorothy as the mole at all. I still have faith that there aren’t that many physically incompetent people out there. I’m keeping my eye on this one.
Katie
Pros:
1. Challenges a) Burn Bags Burn: Didn’t know diddly. Lost money. b) High Roller: She split 3s…geez. Lost money. c) Smart/Dumb: Attempted to screw the smart people over. The smart people were smarter and it didn’t work. d) Blueberry Game: Fell for the old “Sure you can leave your room” trick. Caused a fine. e) Think or Swim: Wrong on many levels. Forgot her G. Hate that. f) Little John/Little Jane: Lost, but it was to Little John, can’t really hold this one against her too much.
2. Behavior a) Coalition with Heather very early in game. b) Keeps her hands on her face ALL the time. Is she trying to cover up telling signs? c) She is painting her nails very very slowly. Like one nail after every execution. This is either a clue or she has zero fashion sense. d) She outted Patrick to the group regarding the journal. Caused a fine and made them all dislike poor Les Nessman. Was it necessary? e) She threw a screaming wall-eyed fit after the blueberry game. A bit over the top don’t you think? f) In one interview, Rob says, “I hate that the Mole will lie to my face.” Cut to Katie, “I lied to Patrick.” Hmmm g)The Mole left a message for the group without any Gs. Points to Katie’s mistake. Lots of people screwed that game up, why single her out? h) Fear of jelly. This is just too weird.
Cons:
1. Challenges a) Swing for Life: Did her jump even though she was scared. Maybe the river was full of jelly. b) Lotto clothes: Wore her outfit. Won money. c) Homemade Pizza: Did her part. Won money. d) Morality: Didn’t have a problem with the boys helping. Won money. e) Gladiator: Did well. Was very proud of herself. Won money.
2. Behavior a) Very emotional. VERY emotional. I don’t necessarily consider this a strike against her being the mole. The mole is supposed to avoid detection and from interviews, it doesn’t sound as if anyone suspects Katie. b) Fear of Jelly. Too strange.
Summary: Katie is becoming more and more suspicious as the weeks go by. No one seems to consider her a threat as a player or as the mole. Yet she has outlasted 7 other players. She isn’t quite as dumb as they originally thought, is she? The challenges she has successfully completed have been telling in that all of them would have been very difficult to sabotage. Had she intentionally screwed any of these up, it would have been very obvious. At this point, I pick Katie for the mole.
I reserve the right to change my mind at any given minute and to deny I said any of this.
