Philadelphia, PA.---- Friday August 1st 2003 The Philly Brother and former cast member of the CBS reality TV Show 'Big Brother' seeks to infiltrate Philadelphia's City Council in order to legislate social change using 'Big Brother' government politics. It's official. Will Mega filed almost twice the number of required petitions, landing him a place on the Nov. 4, 2003 ballot to run for a City Council at Large seat.
Formerly the National Field Marshall of The New Black Panther Party for Self Defense, he intends to use his celebrity and position as the Philadelphia delegate of the National Hip-Hop Political Action Committee to appeal to the 18-35 voting demographic. The Education Party candidate stands on a platform advocating Safe Schools, Jobs and Affordable Car Insurance.
'I will be the bridge that prepares the Hip-Hop generation for leadership, while protecting retiring Baby Boomers from government and corporate exploitation.' says Mega. The public has dubbed him, 'the wild card radical democrat' running as a third party independent ticket. Mega contends, 'I am dedicated to being an elected activist willing to put the people's interest first'.
